Пропажа лимерика

While taking a walk in the fall,
Two bulls saw some cows in the kraal.
Said the young bull, let’s run
And we’ll each fuck us one.
Said the old bull, let’s walk and fuck all.

Среди моих записей лимериков и среди книг с лимериками не удалось найти вышеприведенного. Гугль нашёл только штук десять блогов, содержащих рассказы на эту же тему, но в прозе. Почему англофоны не излагают эту историю в форме лимерика, осталось загадкой. Может быть, этот лимерик придуман в России? Не имея под рукой канонического текста, привожу его по памяти. Смущает us перед one. Может быть, нужно поставить but? Во всяком случае, размер требует здесь безударный слог.
PS. Эту запись я опубликовал год назад. Снова попробовал найти этот лимерик через Гугль, но он выдал только мою собственную запись годичной давности. Куда делись блоги, на которые он ссылался год назад? Вот загадка, которая мучит всё прогрессивное человечество.

Chapter 1

A vocabulary, Hebrew, Arabic, and Persian

A vocabulary, Hebrew, Arabic, and Persian,
by the late miss E. Smith.
to which is prefixed, a praxis, on the Arabic alphabet,
by the rev. J. F. Usko, Rector of Orsett, Essex.
London:
1814
PREFACE
The following Vocabulary, which I had the honor of revising in the press, at the request of the lord bishop of st. David's, is useful, as a compendious view of a large portion of the affinity between the Hebrew and Arabic Languages, and occasionally of the Persian. It is interesting, as a novelty ; for though such affinities are frequently pointed out by Hebrew and Arabic Lexicographers, especially by Simonis, Michaelis, &c, (whose labors in this department of Hebrew literature, in all probability, were wholly unknown to Miss E. Smith, Parkhurst, if I mistake not, being her sole guide in Hebrew ;) I am not acquainted with any detached work of the kind, in which the two languages are collated, as in this Vocabulary. It is not only useful and interesting, but is, like her translation of Job, a wonderful performance, considered as the production of a young lady, adorned with all the accomplishments of her sex, and distinguished by the various talents of Poetry, Metaphysics, and moral observation. I have removed a few redundancies, and some doubtful comparisons, and have proposed a few different interpretations, as in the word אריאל.
With respect to pronunciation expressed in Roman letters, I have retained that which was adopted by Miss E. Smith, and which is the Persian manner of pronouncing the Arabic ; but I hope the candid Reader, who knows it better, will kindly overlook things not essential to the main subject, viz. the comparison of the Hebrew with the Arabic.
I have taken all possible pains to have it correctly printed ; yet a few Errata have escaped my notice, and which I have corrected and added to this work.
Besides, I have prefixed a short Praxis on the Arabic Alphabet, with a Key to the true pronunciation of it, which may be useful to the learner of Arabic.
The Samaritan and Syriac Alphabets, with a Praxis to each, are intended by the venerable Lord Bishop of St. David's, as an inducement to the study of these languages, which are of great use and necessity to the Biblical Critic.
